I'm a huge S'mores fan. No, I have never been camping. I also do not plan on it any time soon. We also do not have a fire put. Which is a huge bummer. During the summer months we like to have S'mores at my in laws. The kids love it! Even my picky 5 year old. She "hates" chocolate. I don't know how she came from me. I wanted to make something easy and quick as a dessert this week, and then decided to make S'mores!
One word, YUM!This ooey, gooey chocolaty goodness is far from being healthy, but it sure is scrumptious. My husband was a huge fan. He actually ate more than I did. Gasp! I'm one of those types that if I feel fat, I eat cake. But him, no way.
Please excuse the messy crock pot in the back ground. Dinner was messy too.
This dish is so easy to put together. It takes a matter of minutes. It is also okay re-heated. But it is best to be eaten right away. Whip it up after dinner and enjoy. We did have a tiny bit left over and re-heated in the microwave the next day. It took about a minute.
Here are the details on how to make your own S'mores in dip form at home!
Ingredients1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
2 Tablespoons Milk or cream
1-¼ cup mini Marshmallows, Divided
Graham Crackers/cookies For Dipping
(optional) Vanilla Ice Cream
- Preheat your broiler.
- In a medium skillet add your chocolate chips/chunks. Mix in the 1 cup of marshmallows, saving the rest for later. Mix constantly on low/medium heat, until well blended and chocolate and marshmallows are combined to a smooth texture.
- Transfer to a small casserole dish. (a really small one)
- Top with remainder marshmallows. Place in the broiler for 60-90 seconds.
Enjoy with your favorite graham crackers and cookies. Or serve over vanilla ice cream.
Have you made this? How did it turn out?
